Speech Zapper exploits mental loophole that will confuse the target's brain so that he/she has to stop talking, without any physical discomfort. Speech Zapper utilizes psychological finding that when you hear your voice played back to you with a delay of a fraction of a second you will start stuttering and eventually have to stop speaking. The effect is what psychologists call Delayed Auditory Feedback (DAF).
